Presley, 5/11/09

We went to the doctor last Monday (5/11) and that was our sonogram day. We had previously had a sono done by Derek and he said, “There isn’t a dingus anymore.” Originally, he’d said Presley was a boy and we were having a Rhyder. Ha! God had much different plans! The 18 week sono Derek did said it was 90% a girl…so, we had an idea it may be. And sure enough! We’re having a little girl ; )

Here are her sono pics, a few anyways. She’s right on target for my due date, September 11. She’s a little over a pound and is 10.5 inches long. All of her vital organs are formed. She was being shy for us, she kept her hands over her head the whole time!

And what makes Presley, Presley

Our Vacation

We recently went on a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise aboard Carnival Conquest out of Galveston. Our ports of call included Grand Cayman and Jamaica. We were originally scheduled to also stop at Cozumel, but with all this swine flu crap, they nixed that quick. Our compensation was $20 pp onboard credit. I was way bummed b/c on our honeymoon we went to Cozumel and snorkeled and LOVED it. So, we were stoked about going back.

Although we had loads of fun at the ports, get time on the boat quickly got old…I brought 2 books and read them both by Friday. What was I going to do with 2 more days?! By this time I was burnt, and had no desire to sit out in the sun some more. The shows were always so crowded…there were just too many people! We had a full ship with 3001 passengers.

Anyways, we had fun. Jamaica our bus got a blow out on the way to Margaritaville, where I swam and laid on the beach.

Cayman was GORGEOUS!! We signed up with a snorkeling excursion via catamaran. It was like our own private tour! There were only 6 other people on the boat…we laughed at the others who had double-decker boats FULL of people, stuffed like sardines! We first stopped at Sting Ray city, which was kinda scary once we got off the boat! The guide told us to keep our feet planted in the sand and to scoot along, don’t walk. That way we don’t accidently step on a ray. Well, with the rolling water, it made scooting a hard time! There were sting rays all around us! The guide held each a male and female and had us “pet” them and/or kiss them. I pet the ray but no way was I kissing it!! Eloy did good and held the female (which are the bigger ones) and kissed her too! I’ve got that picture, but on my water cameras which haven’t been developed yet.

After that, they took us to the corals and let us snorkel. Eloy didn’t do any of this b/c he hurt his calf way back when and when he got in the water to snorkel, he got a Charlie horse and got out. L booo he didn’t get to see all the pretty fish like I did. Once we were done snorkeling they let the sails go and we sailed most of the way back to the docks. It was sooo calming; I fell asleep on the boat seat and got a freak burn! I dunno how, I lathered myself up on some baby spf 70+!!

Back to the boat we went for our last 2 days…. We met this nice family from Louisiana, there accent was so thick I thought they were from Australia! They were very friendly, and shared some drinks with Eloy.

Needless to say, while we enjoyed our time away from work and such, we were VERY glad to be coming home and getting to sleep on our own bed and get back to “normal.”

First Post!!

Hey everyone!! I finally got my page figured out and hope to be adding in the future. This was a tricky thing for me to finally get up and running, I just could NOT figure this thing out! But, it’s finally done.

Everyone probably knows me but, in case not, I’m Nicole. Married to Eloy for over 2.5 years. We’re expecting our first little one, a GIRL!! Her name will be Presley, no middle name yet. I am 23 weeks, so I’ve got about 17 more to go! We’re pretty much excited. She is a blessing now and will always be.

Eloy is in the Marine Corps, stationed here in Fort Worth. I work at a bank full time. We both love what we do, and wouldn’t have it any other way. Although, I’d like to be a SAHM. : ) Maybe one day…

I don’t have any plans for this blog, other than keeping up with our life. Documented. I tend to takes pictures, but then I don’t do anything with them but store ‘em on my computer. Might as well put some of ‘em to use on here.

Here I am in all my pregnant glory.....And my hubby Eloy.
