Knitting like a fool

I cloth diaper Presley. While I was on maternity leave, I took a knitting class from this yarn store 2 minutes from the house. I took Presley and she'd sleep in her carrier, while the lady's dog/cat sniffed at her like "what the heck is this?!" it was cute. Anyways, i learned to knit. My whole purpose was to learn how to do soakers, to start with. The lady had no idea what the heck a soaker is, but once i explained it, she pretty much caught on.

(for those of you who don't know, it's made of wool, and you lanolize it afterwards to make it absorb pee. it's a natural cleaner, so you really only have to wash them every 2-3 weeks, even longer, unless they get poo on them.)

this is my first soaker. the seam came out totally wrong, but you learn : )

I also started a pair of Sheepy Pants Longies, and oh my goodness...I wish i had finished them before I went back to work. I finally finished one leg this weekend, and need to finish the other. like I said before, your first project you learn quite a bit. i learned i wanted flared legs, but added too many stitches, b/c these are like, 70's flares!! but, still cute : )

Christmas Pics

Blogging is so hard! I forget, and then when I remember, I get busy doing something totally different.

Eloy's mom got this fancy new camera, a Nikon d40, and she let me borrow it one night. I wanted to attempt to take some nice Christmas pics of Presley to print for the grandparents. Well, I originally wanted to make then an album, but for some reason, when I uploaded them to my facebook, I didn't REALLY block my mom when I tried to. So, last week she asks me about the pics...and I'm like what pics?! how did you see them?! That ruined that secret...anyhow, I think they came out decent for a WAY amateur picture-taker. (I won't embarrass myself and call me a photographer!)
