Cloth Diapering

Yes, I am doing cloth! Right now it's so much fun shopping for them and finding amazing deals to boot! It's not like a diaper service thing, I will be doing (WE will be!) all this ourselves..changing, washing, hang drying...all of it : ) I can't wait. They make these things so darn cute!!

I've got 15 prefolds, which are held together with Snappi's (instead of pins..OUCH!) 5 Goodmamas, which are called fitted's and usually require a cover if we're going to be out and about. 4 small Thirsties covers, 1 xsmall Thirsties cover(with 4 more on the way!), 1 Bumkins cover, 1 FuzziBuns pocket diaper--these diapers REALLY are made for men, haha. All Eloy has to do is put it on her. I will already have the PF stuffed/folded inside. 3 snappis, and one wet bag! I've got 3 Piddle Poddles on the way (amazing deal...3 for $24 including shipping!!) I'm very excited about my stash. OH and the GM's and PP's are one size! They're adjustable to fit newborn to toddler. So, we'll get lots of use out of those.

I want to get "woolies" which come in shorties or longies. They keep baby super dry during any season. I didn't know this about wool, but it can absorb about 60x its weight. It also allows the pee to evaporate, making it easier to care for. It only has to be washed once it gets poopy, or if that doesn't happen, every 2-3 weeks, if not longer.

I actually didn't get that many diapers for baby shower gifts; I got a box of newborn Huggies, which is good, b/c I will use those for the first week or week and a half, then transition into the PF's. I was sad to hear that the base doesn't allow cloth (without doctor's note) so we'll have to use sposies during the day and cloth at night and on the weekends.

I can't wait for her to be here already : )

Bocephus isn't so sure....

About all this new baby stuff popping up around the house...It's so cute.

The swing got put together and left out in the living room. Well, since I've been home and the dogs have been inside a lot more, they've been roaming and checking everything out. I came around the corner the other day and he was reluctantly standing in front of the swing. I guess he had nudged it while smelling and of course the thing's gonna move! He had this very weary look on his face as it kept moving, and slowly backed up. Then ran away, lol.

And then we've got her high chair still out (I have no idea why)

I'm really excited about the whole set I got. I had registered for the green/grey Chicco everything from BRU. Welll, I found another set from Chicco on AAFES.com (military only access) and liked it SO much better than the green/grey one! I told my mom to let people know if they were gonna buy the stuff to get it from there. Which ended up happening. Aunt Rhonda has access to the site and they ordered it all!--The travel system, play yard, and high chair.

My Vacation Progress

Phew have WE been busy! I have been off since last Thursday and have not rested all that much. The painting of her room has been done (with provisions to come, uhh ohh!) We got the crib put together last week too. I finally talked Eloy into moving our furniture into her room, although I only wanted the dresser to go for now, but dad came over and they went ahead and moved both over. Now we have my old dresser, which seems so kid sized compared to Presley's stuff. We'll be getting OUR own new bedroom furniture here in the next month or so...until then, Eloy loaded his stuff right back into Presley's chest--annoying!!

Here's her dresser

And hers/daddy's chest

Eloy also added another shelf + rod to her closet

I was going to make all her bedding, but we went to Hobby Lobby and they were out of my fabric. So, in addition to that and the fact that I'm scared to buy a ton of fabric and NOT be able to sew it...we're just going to buy a set! Which is why I say we've got to do provisions to the room b/c it's verry hard to match stuff with the colors we've already painted :/
